Community Consultations
Over the years Chudleigh Town Council has undertaken numerous Community Consultations to understand residents views of Chudleigh in order to influence and guide future development in our parish. The plans produced have set out how the aims and aspirations of the residents of Chudleigh might be achieved and include an understanding of Chudleigh’s context and the influences on the town in the past, present and into the future.
The plans provide practical advice on managing growth, promoting a quality environment to live, work and play and innovative ideas to make Chudleigh more sustainable for future generation. The most recent plan being the Neighbourhood Development Plan, was adopted in March 2020 after 3 years of work. With an approved NDP in place, the Town Council will receive a bigger proportion of the money which developers are now required to contribute towards local services and facilities (the Community Infrastructure Levy) : 25% rather than 15%.
