Exploring on two wheels

Chudleigh is close-to many wonderful cycling opportunities including Haldon Forest Park and Harcombe Forest. Haldon has many off-road routes designed for all abilities, a skills area, pump track and bike hire. Harcombe is more low key with an easy off road circular track, or for the more skilled you can pick your own route off-road between the trees.

If you prefer something more flat and accessible, the Wray Valley Trail is an 11km, mainly traffic free route that links Bovey Tracey to Moretonhampstead. It follows the line of the old railway through the National Trust Parke Estate and past the picturesque village of Lustleigh. The Stover Trail is another traffic free, family friendly cycling route connecting Bovey Tracey and Newton Abbot. It passes through Stover Country Park, a nature reserve, lake and woodland. And the Exe Valley trail is a flat and beautiful ride along the Exe Estuary offering fantastic river and estuary views and passing through the scenic villages of Topsham and Exton.

And don’t forget cycling on Dartmoor with over 350km of bridleways and byways and an extensive network of quiet lanes and designated cycle routes.
