That now brings the strength of the Council to eleven. We still have two posts to fill, due to councillors resigning after the election was called. Over the next few weeks I will be advertising these two vacancies. The first step is to invite electors to seek a formal election to fill the posts. If ten or more electors write to the Returning Officer at Teignbridge District Council the a formal election will be called. If there are insufficient requests than the Town Council is free to fill the vacancies by co-option. If that happens I will advertise the fact, asking anyone interested to send me an expression of interest. All those expressing interest will be invited to address councillors at a Council meeting.
