South West Water - Notification of upcoming road closures in Chudleigh, May 2024

We’re improving your water supply. Ref: 40033984
We’re aware that there has been a recurring issue with bursts on our water main between Chudleigh and Ideford. So, we’re repairing it and will be working in your area shortly.
We’re using a lining technique as well as replacing parts of the main which means we’ll repair the pipe in sections. We’ll need to close the roads around the area to give our teams the space they need to carry out this work safely. Our next phase will be:
· Road closure road from Biddlecombe Cross to Woodvale 3 May for 29 days
· Road closure – Bridgeland Bridge and Clifford Street to the junction of Lears Lane – 24 May for 14 days
· There will also be traffic lights from the junction of Lears Lane to outside Mount Pleasant from 24 May for 14 days
We may also need to turn off your water for a period of time. Please be assured that, when we plan to do this, you’ll receive separate written notices 48 hours beforehand.
We apologise for any inconvenience our work may cause, we’ll make every effort to complete the work as quickly as we can and maintain access to properties whenever possible, though there may be short delays at times.
