Town Council Forecourt
Chudleigh Town Council is looking at the possibility of putting a roof of some kind over the Town Hall forecourt. We think that this will improve footfall in town to the benefit to all retailers. It will encourage more market stall traders and more variety. Increasing the attractiveness of the market will encourage greater footfall and benefit shops, café etc. Community organisations will be able to use the market for publicity and fundraising. New businesses will be encouraged to start with a market stall with low startup and exit costs.
If the idea is feasible, funding to complete the project will be sought at no additional cost to residents. We are interested in what the residents of the town think. Your comments are welcome.
