Town Council charges in 2024/25
After several years when the Council has been able to freeze or minimally increase room hire charges we have been put in a position where we need to make a more substantial increase in the coming year.
This is because the recent lengthy period of double digit inflation has seen most of our suppliers increasing charges by around 10%. We are also aware that our utility charges will double from April 2024 when our current three year fixed term contract expires. Consequently, councillors voted to increase charges by £1.50 per hour across the board from 1 April 2024. The new charges will be:-
Large Hall
Normal Rate £15.00 per hour
Regular Users £12.50 per hour
Rest Centre
Normal Rate £11.50 per hour
Regular Users £10.00 per hour
Woodway Room
Normal Rate £15.00 per hour
Regular Users £12.50 per hour
School Room
Normal Rate £11.00 per hour
Regular Users £9.50 per hour
MUGA
Flat rate £17.00 per hour
Auctions/Market stallholders
Weekend booking £400.00 in total
Hire of Forecourt space
Half Day £17.50
Full Day £31.50
