The Town Council and the impact of Covid:
Last month I advised you that we would be returning to face to face council meetings in April but added the caveat that any increase in infection rates might derail these plans. So it proved to be as the number of Covid infections increased alarmingly, including amongst councillors and town hall staff. Consequently, we have decided that all our meetings in April will continue to take place remotely. I hope that the next scheduled full council, due to be held on 9 May, can take place face to face but the one thing that this pandemic has taught me is that making hard and fast plans more than a week or two in advance tends not to end well.
