A38 Chudleigh to Heathfield overnight closures for road marking renewal works Friday 13 January and Monday 16th January 2023

National Highways operates, maintains and improves England’s motorways and major A-roads. This email is to let you know we will shortly be carrying out essential road marking renewal works on the A38 westbound from Chudleigh to Heathfield, the westbound entry slip road for Clay Land and the westbound entry slip road for Chudleigh.

The work will start on the evening of Friday 13 January, continue on Monday 16th finishing on the morning of Tuesday 17 January, and will take place overnight between the hours of 9pm and 6am.

To minimise disruption, we’ll work on weeknights only when there are fewer vehicles on the road, with no works or restriction during the day.

The work is currently programmed as follows:

Friday 13 January and Monday 16 January – overnight closure of the A38 westbound carriageway from Chudleigh to Heathfield, including the westbound entry slip road for Clay Land and the westbound entry slip road for Chudleigh for 2 nights from 9pm until 6am the following morning.

There will be a fully signed diversion route in place during the closures, but please allow extra time for your journey.

We’ll make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. We always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes. Please monitor www.trafficengland.com to keep updated.
