Health and Social Care Skills: Accelerator Programme.

The Health and Social Care Skills Accelerator Programme, part funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) works across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay. The ambitions of the programme are to attract new people into health and social care roles, and to develop and offer progression routes for people already working in the sector through the provision of free training.

The training is fully funded, subject to the following eligibility criteria:

·         Individuals have the right to live and work in the UK

·         Individuals are over 18 years old, of if under 18 not be in education, employment or training (NEET), or at risk of becoming NEET

·         Individuals live in a Devon post code area (Devon, Torbay and Plymouth)

 

The programme provides a wide range of free, flexible learning and development opportunities; from workshops to short courses and qualifications with a range of subjects to support you, your team and anyone new to the health and social care sector.

With in-person training and online courses available, there’s something for everyone!

Examples of the fully funded training on offer include:

·         Introduction to Learning Disabilities with On Course South West

·         Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care, Levels 1 & 2 at South Devon College

·         Dementia Care, Level 2 at City College Plymouth

·         Emergency First Aid at Work, Level 3 at Petroc

·         Introduction to Leadership & Management, Level 3 at Exeter College
